Forklift

This Verification of Competency (VOC) assesses a licensed operator's ability to safely operate a forklift truck (LF class). The VOC does not replace evidence of training for the operator but is intended to maintain compliance with the WHS and OHS Regulations by ensuring operators remain suitably and adequately trained within the refresher periods of their certifications. Assessment is conducted by a qualified assessor and combines a knowledge assessment (written and/or verbal questioning) with direct observation of the operator performing the task on the forklift against a practical assessment checklist. VOCs are recommended every 12 months to verify ongoing currency, separate to the statutory 5-year renewal of the forklift truck High Risk Work Licence (LF — TLILIC0003).   What to provide: · You will be required to provide the forklift (LF class) for operation on the site that will need to be inspected prior to use by the assessor to ensure compliance. · A suitable room or space for the theory presentation and assessment · A site-suitable space to conduct the practical observation of operators using the forklift in a safe manner, with exclusions from staff and pedestrian/vehicle traffic · All documentation for the forklift, including the pre-start/logbook records, maintenance/service records, operator's manual and a legible data (capacity) plate · Suitable test loads or pallets for the load-shifting demonstration · All PPE required for the task and site (e.g. high-visibility clothing, safety footwear); the operator restraint/seatbelt must be fitted and functional

Upon successful completion the operator will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
