A message from our Principal

I started Safe Work Training in 2001 after more than ten years working at WorkSafe and in the corporate sector. What I saw was consistent: most employers genuinely want to do the right thing when it comes to safety. They want their people to be safe and their workplaces to be compliant. But they often lacked practical guidance on how to get there. That is the gap we set out to close.

When it comes to training, most workers want to understand what they need to do and why it matters. We also know that most workers learn best by talking and doing. We focus on meeting each student where they are, and there are always plenty of questions. That is why we do not do "tick the box training".

Our programs are built around the student experience and the outcomes that follow. Employers should expect their workers to return from our courses with a real understanding of the subject matter and with practical ideas about how to apply it.

With over more than three decades of consulting and training work across Victoria, I have seen what good safety practice looks like at the ground level. Our team of trainers and safety professionals bring that same grounded, practical perspective into every session. We are a workplace safety consulting business that trains, and that distinction matters.
