Coronavirus (COVID-19) Risk Statement
Face-to-face training involves physical proximity to trainers and other participants and therefore carries an inherent risk of coronavirus transmission.
Safe Work Training operates under COVID-Safe Plans across all facilities and implements a range of reasonable measures to reduce risk. However, the risk of transmission cannot be completely eliminated.
By enrolling in a face-to-face course, participants acknowledge and accept this risk and attend at their own discretion. Participants are encouraged to take a safety-first approach to their personal health and wellbeing.
Course Prerequisites
Some courses have mandatory prerequisites that must be supplied prior to attendance. This requirement will be communicated via:
- the website,
- booking confirmation, and
- phone, if applicable.
Important: If prerequisites are not received by 5:00pm AEST on the business day prior to the course, the enrolment will be cancelled and entry to the course will be refused. In this instance, no refund or credit will be provided.
Unique Student Identifier (USI)
From 1 January 2015, all students undertaking nationally recognised training delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI), as regulated by the Department of Education and Training.
A USI is a ten-character alphanumeric code that provides students access to their nationally recognised training records.
Q: Do I need a USI to undertake training with Safe Work Training?
A: Yes. Certificates cannot be issued without a valid USI on file.
Q: What must I do before starting a course?
A: Provide your USI at the time of enrolment or submit it prior to course commencement via:
- Email: student.administration@safeworktraining.com.au
- Phone: 03 5442 5449
If you do not have a USI, you can create one online. Assistance is available by phone if required.
Deposits
From time to time, a non-refundable deposit may be required to secure a place in a course.
Late Arrivals
Late arrival disrupts learning outcomes for all participants. Safe Work Training reserves the right to refuse entry to participants who arrive late.
Participant Handbook
A Participant Handbook is available on our website for all students. This handbook provides information on:
- policies and procedures,
- code of conduct,
- terms and conditions, and
- cancellation and refund policies.
Participants are encouraged to review this information prior to attending training.
General Conditions
Safe Work Training reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule courses due to low enrolments or unforeseen circumstances. Where this occurs, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to reschedule without penalty.
Safe Work Training also reserves the right to amend course fees, schedules, content, trainers, or delivery methods at its discretion.
All training and assessment is conducted in compliance with the National Vocational Education and Training Act and the Training Regulator Act 2011.
Note: Placement of an order for services constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
